- All models from the Pixel 6 series (including) are supported
- The app boasts a nice design and many indicators
Along with the Google Pixel 9 flagship models, the brand new Weather application (Pixel Weather) was launched, which, at least from our point of view, offers a well-designed user interface and handy functions. Now you it gets to a relatively high number of older models. You can probably download it as well.
The plan to extend the Weather app to owners of older Google Pixel smartphones was already announced with the launch of Android 15 and the October Feature Drop. Server 9to5Google however, he now pointed out that the appka is finally starting to expand in the form of an update process “com.google.android.apps.weather”. By default, the update can be done via Play Store.
Support is rolling out for the following models:
- Google Pixel 6
- Google Pixel 6 Pro
- Google Pixel 6a
- Google Pixel 7
- Google Pixel 7 Pro
- Google Pixel 7a
- Google Pixel 8
- Google Pixel 8 Pro
- Google Pixel 8a
- Google Pixel Fold
- Google Pixel Tablet
The new application Weather bets on minimalist widgets with forecasts and current climate status. In addition to informing about the current temperature, including the felt one, it also informs about the weather after hours for one day ahead. It also shows wind speed, sunrise and sunset time, UV index, visibility, air quality and humidity or pressure.
All displayed data are, of course they adapt to a certain locationwhether it is your current location or another location that you choose manually. Of course, there are evening notification with forecast for the following day or warning of sudden changes in the weather.
