The course of the Olympic flame went through all of Paris, through the catacombs of the Seine, but also through all phases of French history, and of course through the French Revolution and its triple message of “Liberty, Equality, Fraternity”. The triple message translated into the three colors of the French flag, blue white red.

The three messages of the French Revolution sealed the ceremony. From Brotherhood, whose part in the ceremony opened when the ship with Cyprus, the only divided and occupied country in Europe, appeared in the Seine, to Equality, with all kinds of models in the videos and in the events that called out only one word: “inclusion».
Dance, music, fashion, French culture and the scent of Paris were pervasive. The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of spectators and athletes. And when the sun went down, Paris shone. Thousands of lights on roads, bridges and of course the iconic Eiffel Tower were lit up.
The steel giant of the City of Light was enveloped in the blue of Europe and the stars of the European Union lit up around it.
The light overcame the darkness and the party continued. And it lasts all night. Under rain.

The Greek delegation was the first to cross the Seine on a boat, with the flag bearers Giannis Antetokounmpo and Antigoni Drisbiotis, while the others followed, with the Refugees receiving the warm applause of the spectators.
