For the first time since London 2012 and, unusually, already three years after the last Olympic Games in Tokyo, the biggest sporting event of the year returns to Europe. For the third time in history, they will be hosted by Paris, where competitions under the five rings were already held in 1900 and 1924. At the mammoth event with serial number 33, from July 26 to August 11, 11,000 athletes from more than two hundred countries will compete.
