One more step towards anti-waste for Chronodrive

Collaboration between chronodrive and le fougon

On November 4, Chronodrive is deploying a partnership with Le Fourgon, a French glass deposit company for reuse. Together, they are committed to promoting more responsible consumption to transform the mass distribution sector.

A major player in drive for 20 years, Chronodrive responds each year to the requests of more than 300,000 active customers through 7 million orders at the heart of its 57 collection points. The e-commerce brand wishes to strengthen its environmental commitment. For that, she chooses the deposit with the company Le Fourgon, which wants to meet the expectations of consumers who increasingly wish to favor sustainable consumption patterns. Ultimately, this project aims to mark a key step in the ecological transition of the mass distribution sector.

This collaboration positions the two companies as major players in the fight against the use of single-use plastic. Their objective: to demonstrate that it is possible to take concrete action for the environment, while offering total transparency on prices and instructions. “After our collaboration with Too Good To Go, this initiative also strengthens our commitment to the fight against waste and is part of our CSR policy. By offering consumers several deposit collection options, we are participating in the democratization of the circular economy.” declares Sébastien Picart, CEO of Chronodrive, in a press release.

A solution in the testing phase

Starting November 4, Chronodrive customers will be able to purchase returnable products such as beers, juices or laundry detergent, sometimes even individually while reducing their waste. The logistics approach implemented by the service provider aims to simplify the process: Le Fourgon collects all returned empty packaging directly from Chronodrive stores. This solution optimizes packaging management and allows customers to quickly collect their deposits at their local collection point. Already deployed in two pilot stores near Bordeaux and Lille, the partnership will extend to half of Chronodrive points of sale by next summer, then gradually to the entire network.
