So, public invitation

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, through the Directorate for Agrarian Payments, has published a public call for submission of requests for exercising the right to incentives for investments in physical assets of agricultural holdings for the year 2024. This invitation includes the procurement of new machines and equipment intended to improve the primary production of various plant crops, including those in protected areas, as well as for the production of fruits, vegetables, flowers, aromatic and medicinal plants. Incentives cover activities such as tillage, plant protection, fertilizing, harvesting, transport, and crop irrigation systems.

Specifically, the investments included in this call are those realized in the period from the expiration of the deadline for submitting previous requests for incentives, until the moment of submitting a new request. Requests can be submitted in the period from October 24 to November 8, 2024 through the eAgrar platform. The total maximum amount of incentives per request, within one calendar year, is up to 1,500,000 dinars. Additional information about the Public Call is available via the telephone lines of the Info-center of the Ministry and the Directorate for Agrarian Payments, as well as on the official website eAgrar.

So, raspberries

At the same time, the Association of Raspberry Producers “Vilamet”, headed by President Mile Pilčević, requested a meeting with the Ministry of Agriculture in order to gather the largest buyers and owners of cold stores, with the aim of considering the possibility of increasing the purchase price of raspberries for this year’s harvest. Namely, a large part of the raspberry crop this year was purchased at an on-hand price of 250 dinars per kilogram, while on the market, raspberries are traded at a much higher price, between 380 and 400 dinars per kilogram. Because of this difference in price, manufacturers are looking for the possibility of additional payment.

In addition to this, it was pointed out that some producers still failed to collect the delivered crop from the current year, while producers from the south of Serbia are waiting for payment even for the crop from 2023. The situation is particularly difficult for producers from the Rasin district, where the Belgrade company “Lukova” did not make payment for the purchased crop, which forced some producers to initiate court proceedings, claiming several million dinars each.
