Market launch with bundle promotion
OnePlus has officially presented its new flagship OnePlus 13 and the cheaper version 13R. Both come with Android 15. There is a discount campaign at the market launch.
OnePlus returns to the market with a new flagship. The OnePlus 13 is one of the first smartphones to boast the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and the latest Android 15. In addition, OnePlus also brings a cheaper variant with the 13R. Both smartphones can be pre-ordered now – including attractive bundle offers.
OnePlus 13
The OnePlus 13 has a 6.82-inch display with a QHD+ resolution and a pixel density of 510 ppi. The dynamic refresh rate ranges from 1 to 120 Hz, which is intended to maintain the balance between smooth display and energy savings, depending on the application.
The dimensions of the smartphone are 162.9 mm high and 76.5 mm wide. There are differences in thickness and weight: While the versions in the colors Arctic Dawn and Black Eclipse are 8.5 mm thin and weigh 213 grams, the version in Midnight Ocean weighs slightly less at 210 grams, at 8.9 mm but a little thicker.
The new Snapdragon 8 Elite from Qualcomm is used as the processor. The device is offered in two storage variants: a version with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage and a version with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. The battery has a capacity of 6,000 mAh and can be charged wired with up to 100 watts and wirelessly with 50 watts. The preinstalled operating system is OxygenOS 15.0, which is based on Android 15.
50MP Hasselblad camera
There are three cameras on the back, the development of which continues to take place in cooperation with Hasselblad.
- 50MP wide-angle camera with a Sony LYT-808 sensor and an aperture of f/1.6. It has optical and electronic image stabilization.
- 50 MP Telecamera with 3x optical zoom and a maximum of 120x digital zoom. The Sony LYT-600 sensor used works with an aperture of f/2.6.
- 50-MP-Ultraweitwinkelkamera with a focal length of 15mm and an aperture of f/2.0.
The front camera offers a resolution of 32 megapixels and an aperture of f/2.4. It works with a Sony IMX615 sensor.
OnePlus 13R
The OnePlus 13R is a cheaper alternative to the OnePlus 13, but also offers strong features. It has a 6.78-inch display with a dynamic refresh rate of 1-120 Hz. The built-in Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor in combination with 12 GB of RAM should ensure high working speeds. The internal memory is 256 GB; expansion via microSD is not possible.
The battery has a capacity of 6,000 mAh and can be charged with a wire with up to 80 watts. Wireless charging is not supported by the OnePlus 13R. The smartphone weighs 206 grams and the dimensions are 161.72 mm x 75.77 mm x 8.02 mm.
Camera equipment
The OnePlus 13R is also equipped with a triple camera on the back, but the Hasselblad logo is missing here.
- 50MP wide-angle camera with a Sony LYT-700 sensor, an aperture of f/1.8 and optical and electronic image stabilization.
- 50 MP Telecamera with 2x optical zoom and an aperture of f/2.0.
- 8-MP-Ultraweitwinkelkamera with a focal length of 16 mm and an aperture of f/2.2.
The front camera has a resolution of 16 MP with an aperture of f/2.4.
Prices and availability
OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13 R are now available for pre-order. Shipping should take place from mid or end of January.
The OnePlus 13 with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB costs 999 euros. It is only available in Black Eclipse color.
The OnePlus 13 with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage is offered in the colors Black Eclipse (black), Arctic Dawn (white) and Midnight Ocean (blue). It regularly costs 1,149 euros. From January 7th to February 5th, OnePlus is offering a 100 euro discount in the online shop, making it available for 1,049 euros.
The OnePlus 13R is available in the colors Nebula Noir (black) and Astral Trail (white) for 749 euros.
For all models, buyers in the OnePlus shop receive a OnePlus 2R smartwatch worth 279 euros free of charge. With the OnePlus 13 with the larger memory configuration, you can instead choose the Bang & Olufsen Beosound Explore Outdoor Bluetooth speaker worth 249 euros.
Chargers are not included. Corresponding charging adapters must be purchased separately if required.
