OnePlus announces its first smartphones of 2025. The OnePlus 13 has already been presented in China and is now also coming to our country. With a price of 999 euro the smartphone is more expensive than its predecessor, although many improvements have been made.
The OnePlus 13 is equipped with the fastest processor of the moment, the Snapdragon 8 Elite. The chip is a lot more powerful than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 that was in the OnePlus and is also more energy efficient. The phone has 256GB of storage space as standard, although a version with 512GB is also available.

Samsung Galaxy S25 will be presented on January 22
The first major Samsung event of 2025 will take place on January 22the manufacturer announces. Samsung announces that the big keynote on that day will be at 7:00 PM Dutch time starts. The event will take place – just like last year with the Galaxy S25 unveiling – in San Jose, United States.
Galaxy Unpacked 2025 is announced in a short teaser video. In the video we see Galaxy AI, the set of AI functions that were introduced last year. Samsung is expected to release major improvements to Galaxy AI later this month.

Poco X7 (Pro) official: powerful and colorful midrangers
The Poco X7 and X7 Pro follow the Poco X6 and X6 Pro from early last year. The Poco X7 is the cheapest device of the two and has a suggested retail price of 249,90 euro. The smartphone is similar to its predecessor in many respects, but improvements have of course been made. The phone has a new MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra chip, which should perform well and be energy efficient.
The X7’s screen is 6.67 inches and has a high 1.5K resolution and refresh rate of 120Hz. This makes images look sharp and smooth. The maximum brightness has been increased, so that the display now reaches 3000 nits.

‘Xiaomi will release the fastest Android tablet ever this year’
Xiaomi will launch a new Android tablet in 2025 with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip on board. That’s nice Kartikey Singh on X. If the information is correct, Xiaomi will come up with an extremely powerful device. After all, the chosen chip is the fastest at the moment.
It is not a crazy choice for Xiaomi to incorporate a Snapdragon chip in the new tablet. The manufacturer also chose this chip maker in its previous tablet series, such as the Pad 7 and Pad 6. What is striking is that it specifically concerns the 8 Elite chip. We often only see these in high-end smartphones.

‘Android Auto will soon also be available on motorcycles’
Google is working behind the scenes on changes to Android Auto. This gives the operating system support for higher resolutions. This is useful if you have a gigantic screen in your car, because then text looks nice and sharp.
The website Android Authority discovered more changes in a new, not yet officially released version of the system. For example, the word ‘car’ has been replaced by ‘vehicles’. This indicates that Google is broadening its horizons. In addition, motorcycle icons have appeared in the Android Auto app.
