The OnePlus Nord 4 stands out in the mid-range smartphone segment with its stylish aluminum casing and good features including a 50-megapixel camera.
After a temporary withdrawal from Germany due to patent disputes, OnePlus is now slowly coming back, at least via its own online shop. With the Nord 4, the Oppo subsidiary has just shown an interesting mid-range smartphone that can be pre-ordered for delivery from August 15th. It costs 499 euros with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB data storage, the top model with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage is available for 549 euros.
The unibody casing made of aluminum is striking and is available in three colors: silver, black and green, each with two shades and textures on the back. The smartphone is said to be particularly durable, as OnePlus advertises a battery life of four years before the capacity drops below 80 percent. There are also four Android upgrades and six years of security patches.
The equipment includes a Snapdragon 7+ Gen3 chipset, a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with 120 Hz and 2,772 x 1,240 pixels, a 16-megapixel front camera and a rear dual camera with a 50-megapixel main lens (Sony Lytia) and a wide angle. The 5,500 mAh battery can be quickly charged with 100 watts, but the charger must be purchased separately.
