The OnePlus Nord 4 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset, along with 16/32GB of RAM and 256/512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. OnePlus claims that the Nord 4 is the only 5G smartphone with a metal unibody (7.9 mm) in its markets.
The device features a 120Hz 6.74-inch AMOLED display (2772 x 1240) with 2150 nits peak brightness and Ultra HDR support. The 5,500mAh battery in the device can be charged from zero to 100% in 28 minutes with the 100W SUPERVOOC adapter, and a 5-minute quick charge can provide 5 hours of Netflix streaming time.
On the camera side, the device has a 50MP Sony sensor with an 8MP Sony ultra-wide angle, dual-LED flash, and 4K60 video recording. On the front, there is a 16MP fixed-focus camera that can record video up to 1080p30.
The smartphone’s connectivity options include dual nano-SIM support, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and GPS. The device can also function as an infrared remote control to control devices, but its USB-C port is limited to USB 2.0.
Six years of software and security updates are promised for the Nord 4. OnePlus also promises that the device will continue to run at its highest battery capacity for up to four years.
OnePlus also announced a suite of AI features it calls OnePlus Intelligence. The AI features include the ability to write text summaries for meetings and web pages, and create captions for photos. There’s also a delete tool to remove unwanted people from photos, and another to lasso objects in images to create stickers or save them to the device.

The OnePlus Nord 4 is up for pre-order in Europe and the UK with a starting price of €499 for the 12GB/256GB configuration, with sales set to begin on August 8.
