Only One Model of the Galaxy S25 Series Will Come with a MediaTek Processor

It is stated that Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 (or Snapdragon 8 Elite) will be 25% to 30% more expensive than its predecessor. However, Samsung does not want to risk an entire series by using only Exynos.

While previous reports claimed that Samsung was considering a deal with MediaTek on the use of the Dimensity 9400 chipset for the S25 and S25+, the latest leak from X user Jukanlosreve reveals that Samsung will use MediaTek’s processor only in the Galaxy S25 FE, S25 series He claims that the devices will use Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 in all markets.

Samsung had launched its first FE device with a Snapdragon processor, but switched to Exynos from the second generation onwards. The latest model, the Galaxy S24 FE, uses a slightly underclocked version of the Exynos 2400.

While there isn’t much reliable information about the Exynos 2500’s performance and power efficiency, switching to MediaTek could make sense.
