OpenAI has announced the availability of the ChatGPT application for Windows. It is a preliminary version and for ChatGPT Plus, Team, Enterprise and Edu clients, but it is a first advance before the «most complete experience» which will arrive later, before the end of the year.

You might be wondering why use the ChatGPT app instead of the Copilot assistant built into Windows. And, well, it’s a matter of personal preference. You can download the ChatGPT application for Windows from the Microsoft Store or from the OpenAI downloads page (which redirects you to the Microsoft Store). Remember, the app is in preview phase and requires a Plus, Enterprise, Team or Edu subscription. The rest of the users will be able to access the version before the end of the year, OpenAI promises, and we assume with a version that includes the functions of macOS.
