OpenAI’s X account hacked and advertised for a fake crypto token

The agency notes that OpenAI is aware of the problem and is already studying it. The malicious advertising has already been removed, RB.RU found out.

The advert contained information about “$OPENAI token, which combines artificial intelligence and blockchain technologies” writes The Verge. The publication points out that the ad also included a link to a fake OpenAI website, which offered users to connect a crypto wallet.

• This is the fourth time since June 2023 that OpenAI and its employees’ accounts have been hacked to maliciously advertise fake crypto tokens, reported TechCrunch.
