Na preko 2.700 m2 modernly decorated space, customers have a rich assortment of 40,000 items for the workshop, garden and household. The facility is spread over three floors, connected by an elevator for easy movement, while the spacious parking lot in front of the center provides easy access to all visitors.
The opening was marked by a solemn ceremony attended by numerous guests, business associates and partners. The general director of the company Okov addressed the audience:
“It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our new Okov center in Donja Gorica. Thank you for taking the time on this rainy day to magnify this event with your presence. Our company will celebrate its thirtieth birthday in December. Although the focus of our expansion in was in Serbia for the past few years, today shows that we have not and will not forget our home market either.
Donja Gorica is a settlement that is constantly growing and developing. Personally, however, something else attracts this area. Visiting the works on the building in the previous period, I met a huge number of people from the area, who work hard on their properties and make a living from that work. I saw in them the embodiment of values that I myself hold dear. That is why I am honored that this new store will bring our complete range of products for the workshop, garden and household to their doorstep. I am convinced that we willlet’s meet at this place!”
In addition to the rich offer, the opening of the new center also brings significant benefits for the local community through the opening 40 new jobs.
On the occasion of the opening, on the day of the ceremony, customers could take advantage of a discount of 15% to the complete assortment, which attracted a large number of visitors and lovers of quality equipment for the home, workshop and garden.
Over three decades of existence, the Okov company has built a reputation as a place where you can find everything “from needles to locomotives”. It has extended its successful business story to the Serbian market by opening sales centers in Belgrade, Čačak and Novi Sad. Last year, a distribution center was built in Belgrade, which further strengthened its presence on the regional market.
The rapid growth of the company led to the need for new storage facilities. Recent warehouse purchase “New tobacco plant” in Ćemovsko polje will enable the company to have even more efficient distribution and better service for all customers.
The general director also announced the company’s future plans:
“Expansion remains one of our main goals. This year, we bought a building from Novi duvanski kombinat, which is located in the immediate vicinity of our central warehouse, and in which we will have 15,000 m2 form another distribution center. Finally, the conditions have been met for the start of designing in Nikšić – in addition to the existing retail facility, we will build another one on 3,000 m2 so that we could comfortably present our complete range in that unit. The crown of our business in Montenegro will certainly be represented by the huge shopping center in the City quarter, opposite the BIG shopping center, which we will start designing soon.”
Through its web platform, Okov enables home delivery of products throughout Montenegro and Serbia. Last year’s launch loyalty applicationswhich now counts over 60,000 active usersstrengthened the company’s connection with customers. The new version of the application brings another benefit for citizens of Podgorica – delivery of ordered goods on the same day. In the coming months, it is planned to expand this service to other cities where Okov has sales centers.
At the end of the ceremony, the general director thanked all the employees who contributed to the realization of the project:

This is the right time to thank the well-coordinated team, which in the previous months once again masterfully planned and prepared the store for the opening. Thank you all for recognizing Okov throughout the region by beautiful, original and richly filled shops.”
