In his statement on his social media account, Minister Yerlikaya stated that “Narkokapan-5” operations were organized in 77 provinces, especially Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir, Gaziantep, Konya and Adana, under the coordination of the chief public prosecutor’s offices and the Anti-Narcotic Crimes Department of the General Directorate of Security.
Noting that 839 kilograms of drugs and 1 million 168 thousand 042 drug pills were seized as a result of the operations that lasted for two weeks, Yerlikaya gave information that 1713 suspects were caught.
Yerlikaya, in his post, said, “Every operation we carry out, every item we seize is a ‘struggle to protect our future.’ “It is our common duty to keep our youth, who are our future, away from drugs. We carry out this duty in unity and solidarity, with the spirit of mobilization.” he said.
