OPPO recently launched its Find X8 series flagship smartphones globally, including Find X8 and X8 Pro, following their debut in China. Now it looks like the company is gearing up for the launch of the Find X8 Ultra, which is expected to arrive after the Lunar New Year in 2025.
Digital Chat Station confirmed the development of the device by announcing on Weibo that the codename was “Everest”. According to the source, the prototype has impressive features such as a 2K display, dual periscope camera, Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and silicon-carbon battery, which indicates a significant battery capacity.
Find X8 Ultra will improve the dual periscope telephoto lens of its predecessor and become the first Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered flagship with this feature. The dual periscope setup addresses the limitations of single-lens systems by providing seamless transitions between 3x and 6x zoom.
This feature is expected to deliver exceptional image quality even at 30x zoom and offer users greater creative flexibility. The Find X7 Ultra previously offered a similar approach, featuring a 135mm portrait telephoto lens for stunning compositions.
Leaks suggest that the Find These include the 50 MP Sony LYT 701 with 1/1.56-inch format and 75mm equivalent focal length and the 50 MP Sony IMX 882 with 1/1.95-inch format and 150mm equivalent focal length.
