Orico has brought the strangest external SSD of all time

MagPro is good for most computers, but it’s really for the new iPhones.

The external SSD market has seen many alternatives, but perhaps none of them are as strange as the MagPro announced by Orico. At first glance, it is a design storage device connected via a USB Type-C interface, which can be connected to computers with the appropriate socket. The operating system can be Windows, Linux, or macOS, basically it doesn’t matter.

The A20PLUS model, 75 x 65.5 x 12 mm structure will be available in gray and blue, in 512 GB, 1 and 2 TB versions, and the data transfer speed will be between 1.8-2 GB/s .

So far, this doesn’t seem like a strange solution, but let’s move on to the cable, which is only 13 centimeters long, and the bottom of the data storage is magnetic to stick to the primarily targeted devices. Specifically, we are talking about the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models, because MagPro, regardless of whether it can also be used for computers, is designed for Apple’s new smartphone series.

Orico MagPro SSDs are available for $70, $100, and $210 depending on capacity.
