New entrant, Ouest-France has been selected by Arcom for the allocation of a DTT frequency for its general channel OFTV which will be launched in 2025.

As part of Arcom’s call for applications for the allocation of frequencies for the broadcasting of national DTT channels, OFTV was chosen as a new entrant, for one of the 15 frequencies which were being renewed for the next ten years. “OFTV will be a national and general channel, which brings together, which carries the voice of all those who work in the territories, and which speaks of the concerns of the French. This news marks a major milestone in the group’s history and strengthens its position as an independent national media outlet.

In its press release, Arcom indicates that the numbering of the channels “will be examined in the autumn before the issuance of the authorisations. A logical number will be assigned to each authorized candidate, in compliance with the principles of the law of September 30, 1986, among which is the public interest.
