Since the European market is no longer growing, India, the USA and Canada will become more important export markets for Valio, said Maido Solovjov, head of dairy industry Valio Estonia.
The most surprising export country is India, which historically has not otherwise consumed cheese products, Solovjov told Äripää radio. Therefore, it is also a strongly growing market in which to sell your products.
Although the dairy industry is not doing the best in the domestic market, the export markets have led to Valio’s results this year, the dairy industry noted. Solovjov gives this year’s results a score of 4+.
They also talked about energy prices, why the European market is no longer growing and how to maintain profitability at this time.
