Outstanding business results of the company dm drogerie markt in the jubilee year, with a growth of 30.34%

The company dm drogerie markt achieved record business results in the business year 2023/24. the year in which it marks two decades of business in the Serbian market. With turnover in branches and online shop of 38.2 billion dinars, a growth of 30.34 percent and investments in the amount of 1.07 billion dinars, dm achieved progress in all key fields, further strengthening its position in the trade industry in our country.

When it comes to the group dm Austria and associated countries (except Germany and Poland), a total turnover of 5.2 billion euros was generated, with the expansion of the sales network to 1,947 drugstores. The number of employees in the group is more than 28,000, and in Serbia it exceeded 2,000.

The dm chain expanded to three more cities in Serbia – Šid, Loznica and Bor, and now operates in 37 cities with 131 stores, while the distribution center has been expanded by almost 50 percent and now covers over 22,000 square meters of warehouse and office space. Over 208 million dinars were invested in equipping the distribution center and logistics equipment, as a contribution to faster and more efficient supply of branches.

“dm’s goal is to establish a balance between social, environmental and social responsibility. Precisely for this reason, dm plays a key role in the protection of natural resources and the climate, taking into account the interests of all generations. In the entire life cycle of the facilities in which it operates, dm strives for environmental neutrality and attaches particular importance to sustainable, energy-efficient construction and responsible use of building materials, the use of renewable energy sources, and the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions. Protection of man and his environment is a priority in dm. Accordingly, and if possible exceeding modern technical achievements, environmentally friendly materials that do not contain harmful substances are used,” said Branko Basar, manager of Expansion.

Business success in 2023/24. In 2016, dm’s donations of a total of 40.8 million dinars in monetary and commodity value were also accompanied by already traditional projects, campaigns and donations.

“We are proud that the year of our jubilee was accompanied by great undertakings in which we thanked the wider community for their trust. We are particularly pleased that the socially responsible campaigns we carry out are recognized by the public and that they somehow represent our “identity card”. We will try to continue to support the local community and the environment with concrete projects and donations to those who need help the most”, concluded Vesna Stojanović, director of dm Serbia and North Macedonia.

Investments in digital platforms and services

The jubilee year of the drug store chain was marked by significant innovations – the launch of the dmLIVE format within the My dm application, which was downloaded more than 1.3 million times. On this innovative platform, users have the opportunity to connect with the brand by listening to interactive presentations of products and trends, as well as conversations with experts. For loyal customers, new benefits for shopping in dm drugstores or online on the Moj dm application were presented, which brings them numerous surprises and coupons.

By the way, the dm chain has more than 14,500 products in its assortment, of which over 3,000 are high-quality brands that carry the dm mark, and among them, customers highly value the brands Balea, Alverde, dmBio, babylove, Denkmit and others that offer identical quality in all countries where dm operates.

A series of unique events in the birthday year

In the past period dedicated to the great jubilee, dm presented its customers with two authentic events. In April, dm Feel was organized, a fair-type event that set standards in the beauty industry. As part of the campaign dedicated to women’s health, the first dmFem conference was held in September, in which numerous experts from various fields participated, providing excellent discussions and useful advice. As a symbol of inspiration, unity and success, dm company also organized a unique jubilee celebration “20 years together for each other”, which gathered more than 1,000 guests from Serbia and abroad.

Women’s health in focus

The Women’s Health campaign is in focus for the second year in a row, and as part of it, dm launched a new campaign at the beginning of 2024 dedicated to the fight against menstrual poverty, in which it further reduced the prices of Jessa pads and tampons in the long term. The company continued the second series of the dm Podcast about women’s health, which received the prestigious “Cactus” award last year.

The traditional dm Women’s Race, which is organized in cooperation with the Belgrade Marathon, was a sign of humanity and solidarity, so for every purchased registration fee, the company donated a package of Jessa insoles to members of the Special Olympics from 16 clubs across Serbia and the Sports Association of People with Disabilities from Belgrade.
