Over 2 billion in demand for first $750 million Eurobond issue

Steel company Erdemir announced that it has issued Eurobonds for the first time in its history.

In the statement, it was stated that more than 130 international institutional funds had received demand, more than four times the planned issuance size, and that the demand for the $750 million issuance, which will be traded in Europe and the US, had exceeded $2 billion.

OYAK General Manager and Ereğli Demir ve Çelik Fabrikaları TAŞ. Chairman of the Board of Directors Süleyman Savaş Erdem made a statement on the subject, saying, “Erdemir’s Eurobond issuance was the highest amount issuance transaction among Turkish companies that made their first issuances in 2024. This situation is an indication of the trust that international investors have in Turkey and our institution. In addition, this issuance is the first steel company issuance in the Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEEMEA) region since 2021.”
