A quantity of cannabis that exceeds one ton, as well as 1,253 cannabis seedlings, were found by the police officers of the Tripoli Security Department in a plantation in an agro-forestry area of ​​the municipality of Tripoli, in Arcadia.

For the case, a 37-year-old foreigner was arrested in a local community of the municipality of Tripoli, against whom a case file was filed for criminal organization, violation of the laws on drugs and on foreigners, which also includes his unknown accomplices.

In particular, according to the Police, after utilizing the information gathered, the organized cannabis plantation was located, consisting of 28 levels, in an inaccessible forest area, with dense vegetation and natural cover, with a total area of ​​approximately 35 acres.

A total of 1,253 hemp seedlings, up to approximately 3.5 meters in height, were cultivated in the plantation.

According to the Police, it is estimated that the expected profits that the members of the criminal organization would obtain would reach 10,000,000 euros.

The arrested person is going to be taken to the public prosecutor, while the policemen of the Security Department of Tripoli continue the investigations into the case.
