How to get hearing aids

Do you have problems with hearing what others say? Contact an ear doctor and get a hearing test. You do not need a referral. You can also get a hearing test from one private hearing clinic, but you must in any case have the prescription for hearing aids from an ear doctor. Some of the stores have a partnership with an ear doctor.

Hearing aid. You can get the hearing aids for free from the public sector, or you can get DKK 6,804 in subsidy for the purchase. They must last for four years.

Private or public? Private shops do not have a waiting period, but often there will be self-payment. The public sector is free, but has waiting times and fewer clinics.
