Home Panel goes to the first models of smart TVs with Google TV
Home Panel is a completely new section that allows users to control smart home devices integrated with Google Home from the TV. Compared to the application – it is quite a limited solution, but still managing thermostats or lights without having to get up to get a smartphone may be worth its weight in gold for many people who stay on the couch.
Now, in addition to the above-mentioned set-top boxes, the new function is available in the first TV models. Users of TCL and Hisense devices report that they can now enjoy the new function. On Reddit forum we also read that more expensive models of Xiaomi devices also support this function.
Home Panel is undoubtedly a useful feature that will prove to be a welcome change for many people. The big surprise is the speed at which it appears on new devices. Google has accustomed us to the fact that the implementation of new products can take a really long time.
