Ozon to cancel fines for lack of access to cameras at order pickup points

“We thank everyone who shared their opinions on working with cloud videos – we see all your suggestions and are guided by them for the development of Ozon,” the company noted.

Connecting pickup points to cloud providers to provide access to video cameras will become optional — owners of pickup points can do this at their discretion. To avoid connecting to providers, you need to specify “no cloud storage in pickup point” in the “video surveillance” section of the profile settings.

Ozon reminded that all pick-up points must have cameras installed – two at points with the “Maximum Brand” tariff and one at “Home” points.

Changes to the agreement regarding mandatory access to cameras will be recorded in the near future, the marketplace emphasized.

In August 2024, Ozon announced the introduction of fines of 10 thousand rubles for pickup points for failure to provide access to video cameras and providing false data. After the announcement, Ozon pickup point owners created a petition against the innovation.
