Uncertain weather over the Epiphany weekend, but without intense cold

“We will have one over the weekend somewhat uncertain weather situation with some fog and drizzle but no strong bad weather. Also that of Monday 6 January, the day ofEpiphanyit will be a bit of a gray day”, explains the expert.

“From the point of view of temperature, the minimums have already risen in recent days and will tend to settle down a little in the next few days too. There’s no mention of intense cold at the moment,” he adds.

Rain starting Monday 6 January with winter weather: the forecast for the week

They are therefore expected starting from Monday clouds e scattered rainfall. The new disturbance will affect, in particular, the North-West regions. “On January 6th in the South and on the middle Adriatic side we will only have a few clouds, while on the Tyrrhenian side some light rain”, says Sottocorona.

“On the Nord-Ovest they will be there fairly heavy rainfall, in character snowy on zone alpine at high altitudes, not below 1000 metres, because there will not be particularly cold air. On the Apennines, however, I don’t expect heavy snowfall for next week.”

This worsening, observes the meteorologist, it could also remain for the following day, Tuesday 7 January. For the rest of the week the weather will be wintry, “but neither particularly cold nor particularly rainy“.

A turning point could instead arrive next weekend, Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th January. “With all the necessary precautions, at the end of next week temperatures could drop further. During the week of Monday 6 January they will remain at normal values o slightly above averagethen there will be a new cold passage of about 48 hours. Although we cannot yet say for sure”, explains the expert.
