Don’t be gullible with what you see on your mobiles and especially with the messages you constantly receive. This time there is a new phenomenon of online fraud and even the astute ones are investing in emotion, especially when it comes to the children of the would-be victims. The new form of fraud involves text messages sent to mobile phones purporting to be from the recipients’ children. How exactly does this whole act of hacking/fraud happen? So very simply and plainly, from an unknown number, the child’s parent receives a message and causes him concern if his child is in danger: “Dad, write me on viber now!” says the message and gives a third phone number to reach through.
Certainly due to the sensitivity of parents, many will not be surprised and will not suspect that something strange is happening, they will be overcome by feelings of concern and in order to find out if their child is okay, they will spontaneously comply with the imperative directive and will attempt to contact through this number .
This text message has reached many people’s mobiles, so BEWARE!
