At the starting blocks, the 2024 Olympic Games returned to Paris for the third time, exactly 100 years after the last event. The French capital is ready to welcome athletes, media and visitors from all over the world, with an organizational machine that breaks some traditions. The first big novelty is certainly that of organizing the opening ceremony not in the main stadium but on the Seine; the second is the Race Logistics. While Olympic venues are usually built on the outskirts or outside the city limits, the Paris 2024 Olympics will be held in the heart of the city, among its monuments. With very few exceptions, such as the use of existing or temporary facilities and some locations outside the Ile de France, only two arenas will be built specifically for the event and will be open to the public after the event.
The goal is twofold: on the one hand, to tell the world about the beauty of the host city, on the other, aattention to cost containment and environmental impact. 80% of the facilities are located within 10 kilometers of the Olympic Village and are easily accessible on foot or by public transport. Thanks to these measures, a 55% reduction in CO2 emissions has already been calculated compared to previous editions of the Olympics.

THE PARIS 2024 PODIUM, GREEN AND INCLUSIVE
Il podium designed for the Paris 2024 awards ceremonies is a real miniature architecture. Inspired by the curved lines of the Eiffel Tower, it is sustainable and made entirely of wood and post-consumer plastic. The Olympic podium is conceived as a modular structureto adapt to any situation: modules can be added or removed to lengthen or shorten the surface as needed, for example creating plenty of space for team sports or ramps to allow access for wheelchair athletes.
