The St. Petersburg Transport Committee has clarified the timing of the opening of parking on Konyushennaya Square.
According to the press service of the department, the city parking lot, designed for 60 cars, including seven for disabled people, will be fully operational after the dismantling of the winter entertainment area in February 2025.
To date, the city parking management center has signed a government contract with the contractor who will arrange the parking lot. Thus, specialists will install power supply networks, install communication systems, surveillance video surveillance, install an automated parking system, road signs and markings.
The Committee noted that the new parking lot will be equipped with prefabricated structures, which will allow Konyushennaya Square to continue to be used for city events.
Previously, the media reported that paid parking on Konyushennaya Square will be completed by the end of 2024 and 39.2 million rubles will be spent for this purpose.
