In the race for the seats in the Senate allocated to the county, 87 candidates signed up, coming from 19 parties and political alliances. 242 candidates were registered on the lists for the Chamber of Deputies, coming from 40 parties and alliances or unions representing national minorities.

In the race for the seats in the Senate allocated to the county, 87 candidates signed up, coming from 19 parties and political alliances. Of these, only 5 will reach the Parliament, following the votes of the citizens of Mures County.

Candidates from Prahova County in the elections for the Chamber of Deputies

242 candidates were registered on the lists for the Chamber of Deputies, coming from 40 parties and alliances or unions representing national minorities. Only 12 of them will occupy the seats in the Chamber of Deputies allocated to the county.

Voting in the 2024 parliamentary elections

The Romanian Parliament is bicameral, consisting of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies. Voters will nominate candidates for the new composition of the Parliament for the next four years. During the parliamentary elections, Romanians will vote for the representatives of the electoral constituencies in each county. They are elected on lists, based on the principle of proportional representation: 1 deputy per 73,000 inhabitants and 1 senator per 168,000 inhabitants.

Voting will take place between 07:00 and 21:00, and those who are still at the polling stations at 21:00 can vote until 23:59.

The polling stations are established according to the domicile or residence of the voters, and they can check the polling station on registrulelectoral.ro.
