“For example, the ability to work in a team has become more and more important, which we value when hiring specialists, because computer games are not created alone, but with the whole team,” Saburova said on the Äripää radio program.
Online– there are more and more women at work among game developers. The common perception that a code writer is a “boy with pigtails” is no longer true – fortunately, many representatives of the fairer sex have entered the sector. According to the CEO of Games Global Estonia, Julia Saburova, the proportion of men and women in the company is already 60/40. “I encourage girls to choose the IT field in higher education, there are many options and opportunities for self-fulfillment hidden here,” she confirmed.
In addition, Saburova said that even though students want to work in the IT field already during their studies, it is important to make getting an education a priority and not to interrupt their studies.
