Pedro Laginha is one of the protagonists of the new RTP 1 series, ‘Irreversível’, where his character faces the grief and pain of having lost a daughter, forcing him to relive, during filming, one of the hardest moments of his life .
The artist saw his own son (Afonso Laginha, who is also an actor) be diagnosed with a tumor, at the age of 11, which had to be removed through an extremely delicate surgery.
“In 53 years of life, I have already had significant losses. There was a time when I thought I might lose a child. Therefore, I was already well aware of the feelings that plague my character. I was not based on someone I know, but on my life and in the knowledge I have of these feelings”confessed during a meeting with the press regarding the new series.
