AV provider Peerless-AV and its partners have reached the end of the European dvLED Technical Roadshow 2024, which moved from country to country this September. The start was on September 9th in Theale, UK, and the end point was on September 27th in Ridderkerk. Together with Absen, NovaStar, 7thSense and VISUALAB Media, Peerless-AV has delivered a full day of AVIXA certified dvLED training courses entitled “dvLED installations made easy” for ProAV professionals at the Absen regional showrooms and Midwich locations Group (Kern & Stelly) in Great Britain, Germany, France and the Netherlands.

Practical training

Each day, hands-on training began with Peerless AV and the installation of a SEAMLESS Universal dvLED mounting system for flat-to-wall configurations. The reusable, patent-pending Universal Spacer demonstrated how easy it is to precisely align the horizontal profile for a portrait or landscape configuration. The demonstration also showed how to achieve a perfectly flat, seamless finish on uneven wall surfaces using the system’s display adapters, quick-connect brackets and industry-leading X, Y and Z axis adjustment.

The training then moved on to Absen and the installation of the KLCOB LED displays, where the specifications of this new generation of MicroLED products were presented. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about stacking, hanging and troubleshooting before moving to NovaStar for a demonstration of the H-Series Super Splicing LED Controller. This training section covered synchronization between output ports, applications of NDI, ST2110, HDBaseT and IPC subcards, as well as fiber transmission and audio support.

7thSense’s training segment covered the capabilities of the Delta Media Server and how system designers can use the diverse range of media formats and generative effects to differentiate solutions for customers. The dvLED video wall was brought to life with digital content created by VISUALAB Media. The talk covered the power of tailored content in today’s visual landscapes, the impact of live data and ambient content, and how to plan and implement strategies that ensure unique viewing experiences in every space.

At the end of the day, participants were equipped with the necessary know-how to create fully functional, successful dvLED installations that utilize their full potential. They also received a certificate with the opportunity to apply for two RUs towards their AVIXA CTS® certification.

5-star rating from participants

100% of participants said they would recommend the roadshow and the training was rated 5 stars overall as it offered a unique combination of technical manufacturer presentations and practical step-by-step installation. An example statement from a participant: “I had the pleasure of taking part in the Peerless-AV roadshow in Munich, where new mounting systems for LED walls were presented. The training was extremely helpful, particularly in terms of safety and ease of installation of the systems. This saves a lot of time and minimizes errors during installation,” says Dorin C.krater, media technology project manager, sld mediatec GmbH.

She found it particularly impressive that the substructures can be used universally for almost all LED models. This saves the hassle of adjusting or redesigning each project. Her conclusion is: “I would definitely recommend the training to my contacts who work in this area and I am sure they would thank me for the tip.”
