PKP Intercity introduced the first Pendolino trains on its routes almost 10 years ago. In December this year they will celebrate their birthday. On this occasion, the carrier has prepared a lot attractive promotional offer in the form of cheaper tickets that can now be ordered.
PKP Intercity encourages you to purchase tickets at attractive prices as part of the “Zeta Loves“. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Pendolino in Poland, passengers will be able to travel on one of the Express InterCity Premium trains for little money. Ticket prices for the journey scheduled for December 14 start from a symbolic zloty!
A ticket for one zloty is aimed at children and adolescents aged 4 to 16. They are the main beneficiaries of the new promotion. Younger children can travel at all times with 100% discount. However, there are facilities for adults cheaper tickets under “Super Promo”. Their prices, depending on the train connection, are the same from PLN 29 to PLN 99.
It is worth adding that promotional prices for tickets from PKP Intercity are combined with statutory discounts. This means that eligible groups of passengers can purchase them even cheaper. Ticket sales to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Pendolino started on November 14 and will last while stocks last. Please also remember that a seat reservation system applies in this class of trains.
Sale takes place through all channels. This means that cheaper tickets can be purchased via the carrier’s website or mobile application. This is also possible at traditional ticket offices and ticket machines. Theoretically, it will also be possible to do this with the conductor (before the train departs) when there are free seats, but it is better not to count on it.
PKP Intercity launched the first connections with Pendolino trains December 14, 2014 then trains went on routes with passengers for the first time. Express InterCity Premium trains have opened up a new quality and comfort in traveling on Polish tracks.
It is worth adding that this year PKP Intercity will set a historical record in the number of passengers transported. The 2023 mark (which is the most recent record) was broken earlier this month. It is expected to use the company’s services by the end of 2024 approximately 80 million travelers.
The increases are also expected to be visible in the coming years. PKP Intercity believes that by 2030 it will provide services every year over 100 million passengers.
