pension contributors live in a small bubble

Although, according to Tuleva’s data, there has been a noticeable increase in the number of those collecting the second pillar of pension who want to increase their contribution, people who behave in this way form a small part of society, according to RahaForum creator and financial enthusiast Taavi Pertman.

Pertman told Äripää radio’s Wednesday morning program that although Tõnu Pekk, head of the Tuleva pension society, sees a strong interest in increasing contributions to the second pillar pension funds, and he himself submitted an application to increase contributions, many people still do not do it.

“Thank you and I live in a little bubble,” Pertman noted. According to the financial enthusiast, a circle of people has formed around him and Pek, who actively think about financial issues, including pension pillars, but looking at general statistics, most still do not think about increasing contributions to their pension fund. “It seems too complicated to make a decision,” Pertman noted. “By default, a person makes a choice and does not decide,” he added.

Pertman explained in more detail the criteria that will help you find the best pension fund for you.
