Pentagon official suspected of leaking classified documents on Israel strike on Iran

The involvement of an Iranian-American woman working at the Pentagon is suspected by US authorities in the case of the leak of classified documents about Israel’s imminent counterattack against Iran, according to a report by Sky News Arabia.

In particular, the aforementioned media reports that a US Defense Department official said that the investigation being conducted by the intelligence services in Washington regarding the leaking of documents regarding the Israeli military plan to retaliate against Iran leads to “suspicions” of the involvement of a female Pentagon employee.

Pending the announcement of the results of the official investigation, the official explained that the intelligence and armed services committees in Congress have been briefed on this matter, especially because the suspect has a “top-level secret clearance that gives her access to highly classified information.”
