Former Spartak sports director Tomas Amaral spoke about his work at the Moscow club.
“There was some resistance. I find it difficult to work in a context where many outsiders are trying to influence decisions. There is one thing that I am proud of: I always defended the club, I always defended those who paid my salary,” Amaral is quoted as saying Sport24 with reference to Mais futebol.
On November 10, 2023, it became known that the specialist left the post of sports director of Spartak. The contract was terminated by agreement of the parties. He has held the position since the end of 2023.
It was previously reported that Spartak received payment from PSV for the debt for Thiel’s transfer.
