People of Chittagong Hill Tracts should be included in the mainstream of development: Adviser Supradeep Chakma

Adviser on Chittagong Hill Tract Affairs Supradeep Chakma has urged the newly appointed chairman and members of Chittagong Hill Tracts District Council to fully involve the people of one tenth area of ​​Bangladesh in the main stream of development of the country.

He made this announcement at the orientation program organized for the new chairman and members of Parbatya Zila Parishad at the Chittagong Hill Tracts Complex Auditorium on Sunday in the capital’s Bailey Road.

Adviser Supradeep Chakma said to the new chairman and members, you will show the countrymen the proof that we hill people are not backward. You should be dedicated to all philanthropic works that benefit people, benefit society. You have to do everything to include one tenth of the people of Bangladesh in the mainstream.

He said, along with social work, you have to work on creating a beautiful environment. Coffee, cashew nut cultivation, bamboo cultivation, Jhiri, forests should be preserved as well as quality education should be developed in one’s area. You must have a proper plan. His reflection will float to us through your work.

The advisor also said that a short-term training will be organized by the ministry for you very soon for documentation, discipline and proper conduct of work.

He said that the Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Ministry was formed because of the Chittagong Hill Tracts Agreement. We want peace, prosperity and unity of the hill region. We will bring prosperity to the people of Chittagong Hill Tracts in line with the national mainstream. I believe it will be possible with your cooperation.

The newly joined Bandarban Zilla Parishad Chairman Professor Thanjama Lusai, Rangamati Zilla Parishad Chairman Kajal Talukder and Khagrachari Zilla Parishad Chairman Jiruna Tripura expressed their opinion.
