The Meta developer team is preparing important new features for WhatsApp. This time they focus on customizability and completely changing conversations. WhatsApp themes didn't take long to arrive on Android. A few days ago the arrival of this new form of personalization for iOS was revealed. Now, and as is reported, it is known that the integration of these new themes in the Android version.
The new WhatsApp themes for Android appeared in beta version 2.23.21.34 of this app. This beta version is on the Google Play Store and all users of this development program will be able to access it. Upon installing it, a series of customization changes will be found. These translate into 22 new themes with 20 colors to choose from that will serve as wallpaper and highlights in conversations.
These new themes support groups and conversations between two users. When choosing a color it will be applied to both conversation modes, and the user can also choose the accent color to completely customize how the application is displayed.
Accompanying the new themes, custom wallpapers have also been integrated. WhatsApp seems to want there to be as many customization options as possible to have an individualized experience. These are not mandatory and whoever decides to change them can do so. All customization is done on the device's app and therefore does not affect other user's customization.
Although personalization is known to have come to Android, only a small number of users can take advantage of it. Meta launched this new feature to a small group with the aim of collecting information about its operation and user expectations. We will have to wait to find out if this customization reaches the stable version of the application. This is likely to happen in the coming weeks.
