DAPURPACUID – PT Pertamina Lubricants (PTPL) officially presents the newest lubricant specifically designed for BMW motorbikes, namely Pertamina Enduro Platinum 5W-40.
The presence of this product is the result of a partnership with PT Layur Astiti Bumi Kencana, the official BMW Motorrad dealer in Indonesia, through the signing of a cooperation agreement at the BMW Motorrad Indonesia Flagship Store dealer, South Jakarta.
This collaboration marks a strategic step for PT Pertamina Lubricants to expand the reach of premium lubricants in Indonesia, especially for the large motorbike segment such as BMW Motorrad.
“We are proud to be able to present high quality lubricants specifically designed for the needs of BMW Motorrad motorbikes,” said PTPL President Director, Werry Prayogi.
“This is a form of Pertamina’s commitment to providing high quality lubricants that not only support performance, but also driving comfort for BMW Motorrad users in Indonesia,” he explained.
Pertamina Enduro Platinum 5W-40 is supported by Ester technology and is specifically designed for dry clutch motorbikes with large cc engine capacities (>500 cc).
With API SN standards and formulated with fully synthetic base oil, this lubricant is claimed to offer reliable performance in extreme conditions, providing optimal torque and power.
In addition, the evaporation rate of this lubricant is claimed to be low, making it more economical to use and ensuring maximum lubrication, which protects the engine from excessive wear.
Before being launched, Pertamina Enduro Platinum 5W-40 has gone through a series of rigorous tests, starting with the dyno test to measure the maximum performance achieved by the engine (horsepower and torque), where oil plays an important role.
The results show that this lubricant is able to provide more stable and reliable performance. Road testing was also carried out using BMW motorbikes >1,000cc, R1300GS and R1250GS Adventure.
The tests carried out covered a distance of around 1,000 km, via the Jakarta to Yogyakarta route in mid-June 2024.
The President Director of PT Layur Astiti, Fransiska Renata Palupi, admitted that he was enthusiastic about introducing the Pertamina Enduro Platinum 5W-40 to BMW Motorrad Indonesia customers.
According to Fransiska, this collaboration allows his party to present lubricants that can provide the best protection for BMW’s high-tech motorbikes.
“We are confident that this lubricant can better support the various activities of BMW Motorrad drivers in Indonesia, both for casual driving in the city and extreme adventures on off-road terrain.”
