◆ GCCL presented two posters on cell-mediated immunogenicity analysis research results at the Korean Society of Immunology

GCCL, a clinical trial sample analysis agency, plans to participate in the Korean Society of Immunology Fall Conference (Cytokines 2024 & KAI 2024) to be held at COEX, Seoul from October 20th to 23rd and present two research results related to cell-mediated immunogenicity analysis. .

The first published study is ‘Study on optimization of multiplex ELISpot analysis method using three types of fluorescence’. When evaluating cell-mediated immunogenicity of clinical trial subjects, PBMC (peripheral blood mononuclear cells) are separated from the blood and cytokines secreted by immune cells are measured using ELISpot. GCCL achieved the result of reducing the amount of blood required by one-third compared to the previous method by simultaneously analyzing IFN-γ, TNF-α, and IL-5 in one sample with three different colors of fluorescence. Through this, the burden of blood collection on subjects can be greatly reduced and more blood analysis items can be added at the same time, which is expected to greatly improve the efficiency and convenience of clinical sample analysis.

The second presentation is a study on ‘Stability of immunophenotyping analysis following ultra-low temperature long-term storage of PBMC’. When analyzing PBMCs isolated from blood during clinical trials, the PBMCs are collected and analyzed at once to reduce variation between analyzes. However, if PBMCs are stored for a long time, there is a risk that the results may vary depending on the time of analysis. GCCL selected representative CD markers through research based on its previous experience and confirmed that PBMCs maintain stability even when stored for up to 24 months at ultra-low temperatures (below -150°C). This is an important indicator in establishing long-term follow-up sample storage and analysis plans in clinical trials, and is evaluated as an important research achievement that can improve the quality of sample analysis in the central lab by analyzing frozen PBMCs at once.
