Philips has innovated a large, 21:9 aspect ratio gaming monitor

Philips is launching its latest monitor, primarily aimed at gamers, the 34-inch, ultra-wide monitor Evnia 34M2C5501A-twhich, albeit with FRC, can display 1.07 billion colors and matches the 3440×1440 pixel resolution with a refresh rate of 180 Hz.

The device’s 1500R Curved Fast VA panel works with a static contrast ratio of 4000:1, better than the category average, and while its typical luminance is 300 cd/m², the time needed to change from gray to gray is 1 millisecond. With 126/105/95/91 percent sRGB/NTSC/DCI-P3/Adobe RGB color space coverage, DeltaE<2 color accuracy, the screen is friendly with AMD FreeSync Premium and earned VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification.

The model with 5-watt stereo speakers has a DisplayPort 1.4, two HDMI 2.0 inputs, a 3.5 mm jack and three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports on board, and one of the latter connectors supports BC 1.2 fast charging. As usual, the languages ​​of the OSD menu include Hungarian, and the dual PiP/PbP functions or the possibility of projecting the intelligent crosshairs are not missing from its repertoire.

Three-sided Ambiglow mood lighting supported by artificial intelligence algorithms flickers on the back cover, and apart from pivoting, the base, which can be moved in any way, complete with a cable management clamp, is connected to a 100 x 100 mm VESA mounting point. The peripheral, which typically consumes 47.8 watts, is already available for purchase, and they ask for it at the checkout for 300 pounds, i.e. approximately HUF 145,000.
