At the last minute of 2024, the Philips Hue app will still get the function that users have been waiting for for months. In February this year, parent company Signify announced support for multiple bridges per account.
Nearly ten months later, version 5.31 of the Philips Hue app finally brings support to users. The new feature makes it easier to control multiple bridges from the same account.
Philips Hue users not only get a better overview with the new function, but can also place the different bridges in one house to activate or deactivate everything at the touch of a button.
Signify says nothing about the Philips Hue function
Remarkably, parent company Signify itself has not said anything about the arrival of support. The release notes of the update in the Philips Hue app also contain nothing about support for the bridges.
The well-informed Hueblog came across the position. The website also immediately reports that the use of Amazon Alexa still causes problems. Switches and sensors also cause problems, because lamps from one bridge do not respond to the connected accessories from the other bridge.
