Big loop•A gentle return to action for the peloton after the big fight of the weekend and the rest day on Monday. The sprinters should be able to show their stuff in Nîmes

THE ESSENTIAL
- Heading for the 3rd week of the Tour de France and the 16th stage between Gruissant and Nîmes (188.6km), after the last rest day on Monday.
- With only 1,200m of positive elevation gain and a 4th category hill halfway, this stage should allow the leaders to have a quiet day and the sprinters to express themselves in Nîmes.
- The start will be at 1:30 p.m. and the peloton is expected at the finish line between 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Cavendish is only 17th and Démare 18th. Disappointment for Arkéa-B&B
Girmay crosses the line 3 minutes after the finish. He now has only 32 points ahead in the points standings, but that should be enough until Nice.
Bauhaud ranks 2nd, Kristoff 3rd. Coquard is 7th
3rd victory for the Belgian in this Tour de France!
