The crash of a small plane in the suburbs of Phoenix in the US state of Arizona claimed five lives.
A small plane attempting to take off from Falcon Field Airport in Phoenix this afternoon collided with a car on the road near the runway. According to local media, five people died in the accident.
The pilot, who was sitting behind the wheel of the Honda HA-420 light aircraft, decided to abort the take-off at high speed, but then failed to stop the aircraft on the runway in time. First he broke through the security fence, then he crashed into another vehicle on the road. The plane ended up in flames. The authorities confirmed that there were five people in the plane, but did not explain how many of them were killed or whether there were any passengers in the car among the dead.
