In the southern part of Croatia and in Bosnia and Herzegovina, these days, when they were surprised by a snowstorm, there are shocking examples of rescues. The newest one comes from the Croatian Liško-Senj County.
We have already reported on rescues of people trapped in blizzards, especially in the area of Dalmatia. Not far from the Plitvice Lakes, for example, firefighters had to rescue as many as 48 people yesterday, including children. The Croatian Mountain Rescue Service (HGSS) reports today about another drama that unfolded in the village of Krbava in the area of the municipality of Udbina in the Liško-Senj County.

Due to heavy snowfall and unfavorable weather conditions, road traffic was difficult, but the situation was urgent, as a pregnant woman found herself in health problems. The only way to the hospital was by air. First, local mountain rescuers made their way to it with an all-terrain vehicle and a sled, while a helicopter team set off from Zagreb. Together, they successfully transported the pregnant woman to the hospital.
