Photos of a toll highway under construction in St. Petersburg, the Latitudinal Expressway, have appeared on the Internet. It will pass through the city and cross the Neva waters.

In the photos published by 78.ruit is clear that the route will run from the WHSD, through the Bolshoi Smolensky Bridge under construction to the Ring Road and through the territory of the Vsevolozhsk district of the Leningrad region.

Let us remind you that construction of the highway began in the spring of 2021 – at the first stage, the Vitebsk interchange is being built at the intersection of the WHSD and the ShMSD. The first launch tests have already passed there, and it is planned to open traffic by the end of this year. According to the plans of the city authorities, next year 26 billion rubles will be spent on the construction of the ShMSD, including non-purchase of land plots, engineering preparation of the territory and construction and installation work.

Earlier it was reported that in the Leningrad region they changed their minds about building high-rise buildings in the area of KAD-2 and ShMSD.
