Photovoltaic incentives, all the benefits

Among the incentives for renewable energy systems we find deductions of 50%, 65%, the thermal account and furniture bonuses.

Energy from renewable sources, all the incentives

Currently, the incentives dedicated to renewable energy they are numerous and different for each type of system.

Among the benefits for the photovoltaic systems we find:

  • IRPEF Deduction of the 50%;
  • Superbonus al 70%;
  • On-site exchange.

For the installations geothermal The incentives are:

  • Eco bonus dal 50% al 65%;
  • Home Bonus with deduction to 50%;
  • Superbonus al 70%;
  • Thermal Account 2.0.

Incentives for plants cooling:

  • Bonus for the works of free construction;
  • Furniture Bonus.

Incentives for plants mini wind power:

  • Facilitation of the 65% per i microgeneratori;
  • All-inclusive rate;
  • Exchange on the spot.

The plants to biomass Instead, they boast the following benefits:

  • Facilitation dal 50% al 65%;
  • Thermal account.

Due to environmental pollution, the resulting climate change and the very high costs of fossil fuels, most states have decided to implement policies aimed at encourage the use of renewable energy.

The most important steps taken by the European Union have been the Green Deal Europeothe Renewable Energy Directiveil EU Regulation 2020/1294 (establishing a financing mechanism for renewable energy) and finally, the approval of the decree DO 2which promotes the construction of production plants from renewable sources that are not fully mature or have high operating costs.

Photovoltaic system bonus

For theinstallation of a photovoltaic system it is possible to take advantage of a non-repayable contributiongranted by the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security, which covers the 60% of the costs incurred for the assembly of the system, with a spending limit of 4.800€but only for families with an ISEE lower than €15,000

But the tax incentives for photovoltaic systems but it doesn’t end here, in fact, there are also three other solutions available:

  • the 50% IRPEF deduction for businesses and individuals, possible in the context of building renovations, which allows for the recovery of half of the expenses incurred to install photovoltaic systems in 10 annual installments of equal value, and for a maximum amount of 96.000€ per real estate unit;
  • il Superbonus al 70%divided into 4 annual installments;
  • the so-called exchange on the spotthanks to which you can sell the excess electricity you produce autonomously to the local electricity grid.

It should be remembered that the 70% Superbonus is a measure that will cease to exist by the end of 2024.

Tax incentives for geothermal heat pump systems

The tax breaks dedicated to the installation of systems with geothermal heat pump They are very advantageous, and they are:

  • l’Eco bonus, from 50% to 65% for the partial or complete replacement of winter air conditioning systems with high-efficiency heat pump systems;
  • il Home Bonuswhich provides for a 50% deduction in the context of residential building renovations, for a maximum amount of 96.000€;
  • il Superbonus al 70%divided into 4 annual installments;
  • il Thermal Account 2.0.

With the entry into force of the Green House Directiveaimed at limiting the use of traditional gas boilers and by cancelling the bonuses related to them, the European Union has tried to promote the use of heat pumps to make heating and cooling systems increasingly sustainable.

The Ecobonus is provided for those who carry out interventions of energy efficiency of buildings as part of the replacement of obsolete winter air conditioning systems and not of a new installation.

It is possible to deduct up to 30.000€divided into 10 annual installments of equal amount.

The works included in this type of incentive are: the dismantling of pre-existing systems, the supply and installation of the new system and any extra operations connected to this intervention.

To access this bonus, you must make the payment by bank or postal transfer (including the reason and tax code of the beneficiary) and, above all, communicate all the information necessary for the payment within 90 days of the end of the work.Aeneasthat is, the certification, the APE (Energy Performance Certificate) of the property and a complete description of the operations carried out, including the technical data sheets of the system.

With Conto Termico 2.0 you can obtain incentives for the production of thermal energy from renewable sources.

These incentives are provided by the Energy Services Manager (GSE) in the form of annual installments or in a single solution (if they do not exceed €5,000).
VAILLANT ecoTEC PRO Wall Mounted Condensing Boilers
Also hybrid systemsthat is, those composed of a heat pump and a condensing boilerallow access to the 65% Ecobonus and the 50% Home Bonus, however, in this circumstance, it is necessary to respect very specific rules.

The two devices must in fact function in a combined; the ratio of the nominal power of the condensing boiler and the heat pump must be less than or equal to the value of 0.5; COP (Coefficient of Performance) of the heat pump must be less than or equal to the values indicated in the Ministerial Decree of 06/08/2020.

Tax breaks for air conditioners

Until the end of 2024, it is possible to benefit from two tax breaks also with regards to the installation of air conditioners:

  • the bonus for free building works, therefore, without renovation, for new installations of monosplit or multisplit air conditioners in air-to-air heat pump (power up to 12 kW);
  • il Furniture Bonusin the case of building renovations or extraordinary maintenance of buildings that occur at the same time as the purchase of furniture and large household appliances class A+ (spending limit of €5,000).

Both incentives are paid at a rate of 50%.

Contributions for biomass systems and mini wind power plants

Tax breaks of 50% and 65% are available for the installation of wood and pellet boilers (and therefore, to biomass), while among the incentives for the mini wind power plants it is possible to exploit the 65% one for microgenerators.

Biomass systems can currently benefit from tax deductions of 50%, 65% (in relation to solar thermal systems) and the Thermal Account.

As for the mini wind power plantsthat is, small domestic systems that exploit wind energy for energy production (for a maximum of 200 kW), there are two very interesting incentives, provided by the Energy Services Manager:

  • the all-inclusive ratewhich allows you to earn up to 0.30€ per kWh fed into the national grid;
  • lo exchange on the spotwhich guarantees a profit of 0,20€/kWh.

The state contribution foreseen for this type of system is instead the 65% concession for the microgeneratorifor a maximum amount of 100.000€.
