Pink mist in old age

It is undeniable that many things change in a person’s life as they age. Our thinking about the world, our self-image or even our body in a biological sense is transformed, even if we are often not happy about it. The question is whether love must be transformed in a similar way. Can an older person really only love and not love with love?

Until now, only people in their 50s and 60s were looking for the secret of eternal youth, today even twenty-somethings use anti-wrinkle creams. The young people seem to be frightened by the passage of time. Some dye their few strands of gray hair, others use skin tightening agents to combat cellulite. Although this problem primarily affects women, that is to say, girls, boys are also joining the fight.

The increase in the average age is great, but it is also a very challenging phenomenon these days. In a society that idealizes youth, the misconception about old age is that an old person can only be depressed and have every reason to live out the rest of their lives in isolation. All this also raises the question of whetherwhat does y mean and how many years when we say “the rest of your life”. Such and similar distorted thinking does not give a true picture, in fact, we believe that the pressure of society, as well as the wrong cause-and-effect conclusion, can influence the mood of an elderly person and his relationship with himself.

Old age is the period of 65 years and beyond. The value of a given civilization can be measured by the meaning it lends to the entire life cycle. Because this sense permeates the lives of the new generations and their chances of whether they will be able to face the final questions.

The diagnosis of aging fails if you rely only on calendar age. Due to the shift in age stages there is a need to revise the views of old age and aging. Not only medicine, but also psychology and gerontology agree that it is scientifically unsustainable to determine a person’s age based only on the number of years.

Psychic (mental and spiritual) changes

Until now, it was a generally accepted opinion that the intellectual capacity of an aging person is constantly declining. Newer psychological tests show a completely different result: the increase in age is only secondary. The preservation of mental abilities in an aging person depends on how much he has become accustomed to mental work during his life and how much he continues to do so. That’s why it’s important to find company that matches the intellectual level of an aging person.

The transformation of the control function exerted by the environment is responsible for the personality changes that occur during aging (which were previously only associated with age). That is the environment becomes tolerant towards the elderly and thereby discriminates against the aging person, who therefore perceives that certain things are permissible, even as if to a certain degree this is “expected” of him – so after a while he wants to meet these “expectations”.

This is how you can become a “cute”, “crazy” old man. On the other hand, those aging people who, due to their social position, cannot afford this, do not even become so. Of course, it would be wrong to think from all this that az aging would be “problem-free”..
