Google would begin launching the long-awaited functionality of Android 15 battery charge limit. This new feature allows users to limit charges it once the phone reaches80% capacity. The feature was previously expected to arrive in December in the Android 15 QPR 1 release.
However, a user shared images of the new battery charge limit feature on the Internet action about the stable update of Android 15 November with build number AP3A.241105.007 for the phones Pixel.
When enabled, Pixel phones will only charge until their batteries reach 80% of their maximum capacity. This would help increase the phone’s battery life and would be beneficial for users who plug their phones in for long hours, for example overnight.
Regularly charging a smartphone battery to 100% can cause more stress to the battery and reduce its life by accelerating its degradation. This is especially true if the battery remains fully charged for long periods. The higher the charge level, the more stress the battery is subjected to. Hence the new feature it should help preserve the long-term health of your phone’s battery.
