Places available on free courses to learn how to use new technologies

Digital Training Courses

There are still places available for the Digital Training courses taught by the Molí Fariner Economic Promotion Center, affiliated to the State Network of Digital Training Centers. These courses seek to train participants in basic digital skills so that they can improve the use of new technologies. They are aimed at all levels of knowledge, from the age of 18.

Those interested “can sign up for the course that started on September 16 and will last until October 7 in the morning hours on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 9.15am to 12.15pm. Also in the course that will start on September 17 and until October 8 in the afternoon hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 3.30pm to 6.30pm”, details the Economic Promotion technician, Carme Moles. In addition, there are places for the course that will start on November 4th and run until the 25th of that month, in the morning hours on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 9.15am to 12.15pm.

Carme Moles explains that “the courses are aimed at people who have IT concerns, who lack the digital certificate, who want to know the procedures that can be done through the computer and mobile phone, or who want to communicate through of digital applications safely”. “The administration asks for this digital relationship, either to make an appointment with the doctor or to relate to the banking institutions. That’s why we thought it necessary to give these tools”.

The duration of the courses is 30 hours and aspects such as digital literacy, the digital certificate, administrative procedures, online communication, safe browsing and the creation of digital content are taught.

As for content, depending on the starting level, it will include the basics of WordPress, Google Drive or Trello, how to search and compare flight prices for your next trip, make an appointment with the doctor, master the use of the idCAT certificate and the digital signature, master email and instant messaging, among others. In addition to the individual training, there are different face-to-face editions in groups of the same level in order to achieve maximum practical knowledge.

This training is financed by the NextGenerationEU funds of the European Union and by the Ministerio de Educación, Formación Profesional y Deportes and the Plan de Recuperación, transformación y Resiliencia of the state government.
